Description:
Michael Gerber's underground, 2-million copy best-seller "The E-Myth" has revolutionized the way many small-business owners view, and run, their businesses. This two-hour seminar will present an overview of Gerber's concepts, analyze them from the viewpoint of a freelance translation business, and (through discussion) apply the concepts to finding solutions to common issues faced by translators.
Ever heard the phrase: "If you have a business that requires your presence, you don't have a business - you have a job?" Gerber claims to know why many small businesses don't work, and what you can do about it. Whether or not that's true, we'll explore his unique framework for analyzing a business. Find out if you're a "Technician", "Manager", or "Entrepreneur"-type personality, and how this affects your business. We can't promise any answers, but we do hope to provide a stimulating, eye-opening discussion.
