Translators' Picnic 2003
Once again it is time for the Portland-area translators to hold a picnic, and all translators in the Pacific Northwest, including British Columbia, are invited! Our apologies for the somewhat short notice for this picnic.
The location this time will be the home of Daniel Day, in Corbett, Oregon, in the hills above the Columbia Gorge. Time is noon, August 16. Please bring something to barbecue, something to drink and an extra dish.
If you have a portable barbecue or hibachi, it might be useful, as mine is the standard small round one.

Directions from I-84:
Drive east to Exit 22 (Corbett exit). Right off exit onto Corbett Hill Road, drive to top of hill and take right fork. (Warning, do not be fooled by the road taking off to the right halfway up the hill.) At the stop sign, look across Crown Point Highway and you will see EvansRd. Go down Evans 0.4 mi to the first left, Pounder Road. Go down Pounder 1.4 mi to the end and turn right onto Littlepage Road. Go 300 yards down Littlepage to the first left, Louden Road, a steep hill. Come up Louden Road 1.1 mi to O'Regan Road. Turn right on O'Regan and it is the first house on the right, a blue house with brick facing.
If the driveway is too full to park in, you can go 100 feet past my driveway and front yard to another parking lot in front of my steel shed. Note that my address is Louden Road but my driveway faces O'Regan Road. If there is any problem finding my place, you can call from a pay phone. There is one on Crown Point Highway about 1/3 miles east of the intersection with Corbett Hill Road. (Cell phone reception is spotty in this area.)
